Hey, guess what? Once again again I got passed over for a promotion!! I am so consistent!

Really, this sucks. I'm at my wit's end.

I even got passed over when it came time to pick my floor's representative for the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day! I've done it 4 out of the last 5 years and gotten nothing but positive feedback.

It's wonderful to have a place, as it were, to air my complaints.

Well, it happened again: I've been passed over for yet another promotion.

Now, I know everyone likes to say they work hard and deserve to be promoted but it is actually true where I'm concerned. I get compliments from management all the time; I receive cash awards every year; I even performed the job that I applied for on a temporary basis and received high praise for my performance. I got a "5" on my last appraisal (for those of you unaware of where I work, rest assured a "5" is very hard to get. I mean our appraisal system consists of "1" thru "3" and "5"...no "4"...so "5" is pretty, you know, special, or so I thought).

Anyway, I'm now caught in a "depression-anger loop". First comes depression, followed by anger, followed in turn by more depression and so on, ad nauseum.

So...lunchtime is over and I must return to work. Until next time...

Well, I have a blog. I'm not sure what to do with it. I've been looking at other blogs, trying to get ideas. Well...I'll figure it out eventually.
